This
graph represents predator vs. prey relationship; specifically Dingo and
baby populations in Australia. "Darling, maybe the Dingo ate your
baby.", is a common phrase in the vernacular of the Down Under region.
The Dingo population is represented by the dashed green line,
babies by the solid blue line. As baby populations spike Dingo
populations rise, and shortly thereafter, baby populations drop.
The baby populations appear to be sinusoidal while the Dingo
populations are much more stable and hard to determine a functional
relationship. A much longer study is under way which will cover
a 20 year period in the hopes more data will shed additional light on the
rise and fall of the Dingo population in connection with baby
populations.
